Thought for the Day

A community is a group of people who have come together, and they work and they live to try and improve the standard of living and quality of life - and I don't mean money. -- William Baldwin

Remember the numbers 3 and 50: 3 – What 3 independent businesses would you miss if they weren’t around? Stop in. Say hello. Purchase something that makes you smile. Your purchases are what keeps those businesses around! 50 – If just one-half the employed population spent $50 each month in locally owned, independent businesses it would generate more than 42.6 billion in revenue.* *statistics courtesy U.S. Labor Department 2/6/09 report; and Civic Economics
